Plate Split Offline
Split a group restaurant bill fairly in your browser. No account, no uploads.
Plate Split Offline is a single HTML file that splits one restaurant bill among a group. Open it in any modern browser, add the people, add each bill item with its price, and tick who shared it. Shared items are split equally among the ticked people. Enter tax as an amount and tip as a percentage of the ticked item subtotal. Tax and tip are shared in proportion to each person's item subtotal. Every amount is rounded to the cent. The result shows a per-person table, the bill total, and a plain-text summary you can copy into a group chat. When the totals match the bill: every bill item has at least one person ticked. In that case the individual totals add up exactly to the bill total shown on screen. If an item has nobody ticked, it is excluded from every share, the screen shows its amount as a warning, and the shares add up to the bill minus that amount. Tip is not charged on unticked items. What it does not do: it does not save or sync data (everything clears when you reload the page), it does not print or export files, it does not split items unequally by weight or percentage, it calculates tip on the ticked item subtotal before tax only, it supports up to 20 people, and it accepts up to 100000 per item. Tax has no upper limit and tip percent has no upper limit. Amounts are plain numbers with no currency symbol. You can edit an item's name or price with the Edit button. It works offline, makes no network requests, has no ads, and collects no data. Created with AI assistance.
