Offline Serving Scaler for Recipes
Scale a recipe to your head count in one offline HTML file.
Serving Scaler is a single HTML file that runs offline in any browser. No account, no upload and no internet connection is needed after you save the file. Paste a recipe with one ingredient per line, quantity first. Enter the recipe's serving count and the number of servings you need. Scaled amounts round to the nearest 1/8, 1/3 or 2/3 so you can measure with ordinary spoons and cups. An amount under 1/16 is not rounded up. It is flagged as too small to measure and the exact decimal is shown. The tool includes sample checks so you can verify the math yourself. Who it is for: volunteer cooks and home bakers scaling a recipe for a fixed group, such as a church supper or bake sale. What it does: scales leading whole numbers, fractions (1/2, 1 1/2), decimals and common fraction characters. Keeps any text after the quantity. The print button prints only the scaled amounts. Limits: lines without a leading quantity, such as 'vanilla to taste', are copied unchanged. Ranges such as 2-3 are not scaled. Baking time, pan size, oven temperature and ingredients that do not scale linearly are not adjusted. Check results before you cook. Created with AI assistance.
